Its great to be back!

First,  apologies for not posting for such a long time. I honestly forgot that this part of my website existed. Whoops!

Its certainly been a busy 12 weeks since I returned to work in September. I can’t say its been easy getting a work life balance after 6 months of being a full time mummy to my now 3 boys, but it has been absolutely wonderful to get back to my dance school and teaching all of you. Seeing lots of returning faces and many new ones has been very heart warming.  Baby Albert has also thoroughly enjoyed meeting and having cuddles with the dance school family.

November 18th was this years Children in Need Tapathon day with 34 tappers from Dance with Dash taking part and 7,494 as a whole taking part in this nationwide event.   A truly staggering amount of 36,700 pounds for Children in Need was raised with a further 137 pounds and 52 pence raised on the day through our refreshments stall. We all worked so hard for this event and I for one really hoped that we may just break that world record this year. Sadly however we were 102 people short of the record. On the bright side, it does mean I will be re registering again for the 2019 event and we can all have great fun learning and accomplishing a new routine. With 102 new faces joining us!

This term ends on Saturday 15th December for our Christmas break. Please do come in to classes this week and see how your children have progressed over the last term. There really has been a lot of hard work going on and i will be applying for a spring exam session. Sadly no Christmas show. It was just a little to much to pull off after 6 months of no classes and so many new faces, but… a Summer show is now in the diary!

This festive break , Melody Bear is having a Christmas fun session on Tuesday 18th December for 2-5 year old’s. Please do pre book this as i only have 12 spaces available and would hate to disappoint. I am also offering a workshop for senior tappers on December 28th for those who really miss dancing (me) over the break. Again pre bookable as entirely dependent on numbers. I know i have missed out those juniors in the middle but i also have some exciting workshops for you on the cards for the New Year.

ballet shoes

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our 10th aniversary party. I hope you all agree that it was a great evening enjoyed by all. Heres to the next 10 years!

Please note there is a change of time for Adult ballet at Shipston on Stour. It will now be at 7.00-8.00pm each Thursday evening. 

Dedicated Tapathon classes are continuing on a Saturday afternoon 12.15-13.00 if you cant make class but wiould still like to take part in the Tapathon 2016, this is the class for you, along with those wanting extra time to brush up on the routine. These classes will continue until Saturday 19th November.

 

New for January 2017 – Contemporary class for ages 12 years and up. 12.15- 13.00

Dont forget half term is Monday 24th Octber-Sunday 30th October.

Melody Bear classes are coming to Moreton-in-Marsh

Exciting news, Melody Bear is coming to Moreton in Marsh!

So come along and March like soldiers, point our toes like kings or queens, gallop on our ponies, fly like butterflies plus much much more.

Classes start at the WI Hall in Moreton-in-Marsh on Monday 26th September.

13.30-14.00 18months + with assistance 

14.00-14.30 2 1/2 years +

Wow! the summer has flashed by. We certainly finished term with a bang with our fantastic 10 year anniversary show. What a show it was and im so very pleased with every one of you who took part.

This new term begins monday 5th September and im really looking forward to seeing you all and also to welcome many new faces. September also marks the annual countdown to The Children in Need Tapathon, which is taking place on Sunday 20th novemeber at The Townsend hall. This year I am running dedicated Tapathon routine classes on a saturday 12.15-13.00 from September 3rd for those who want to take part but can't make classes as well as those coming for extra practice. All are welcome.

Also this year Melody Bear classes are coming to Moreton -in-Marsh!!! Shes super excited. Watch out for details coming soon. There might even be a free class

Dont forget September 24th is our long awaited 10th birthday party to celebrate 10 years of Dance with Dash.

Spring 2016

This has been a super short term. Lots of hard work culminating in dance exams on Sunday 20th March. This year due to the varying term times we are having a 3 week break for Easter. Returning on Monday 11th April, when we will be back at Acorns Primary school in Long Compton for Adult Tap also. Then the real hard work starts as we prepare for our bi annual show on july 9th.

Gosh is it me or have the summer holidays flown by this year?

The new term starts back at Dance with Dash the week begining Monday 7th September with our new timetable running from then.

 I am really looking forward to seeing you all and getting back into some kind of routine.
